General Body Members
The society consists of a general body of members from multi-disciplinary backgrounds committed to community health. Any changes in the mandate of organization are to be approved by general body. General body will meet once in a year to review the progress of the organization. We have a 23 member general body along with 3 honorary members.
Executive Committee
SOCHARA is registered Society, under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 7A (1960). The Society is the supreme authority and endorses all the decisions and developments of the Society. There are seven member Executive Committee (EC) consisting of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary-Coordinator and three additional members. The executive committee looks after the work of the Society and provides the necessary superintendence and control. The Secretary is the person responsible for the overall functioning of SOCHARA and its units. The Secretary is also the Director/Coordinator of SOCHARA-SOPHEA. Each unit also has Coordinator/s responsible for the respective unit. We have 4 sub committees (FMC, PMU, ARC, SISEC) to feed into the EC.
